Incredible!! The Federal Reserve simply "misplaced" 9 trillion dollars and the Fed's Inspector General hasn't a clue where it went and doesn't seem particularly concerned. Probably because there never was 9 trillion in real dollars -- just paper transactions floating around somewhere in cyberspace, part of that whole Ponsi scheme that created the economic bubble that, rightfully, had to go bust. .... But the lack of any sense of responsibility on the part of the Federal Reserve is, repeating myself, incredible, and inexcusable and unacceptable. ~~ S. Lane
Rep. Alan Grayson asks the Federal Reserve Inspector General about the trillions of dollars lent or spent by the Federal Reserve and where it went, and the trillions of off balance sheet obligations. Inspector General Elizabeth Coleman responds that the IG does not know and is not tracking where this money is.
