Reminder of pending legislation to monitor - HR-45. I've commented on this before in correspondence with several of my friends who are just as concerned as I am about the potential for more gun controls being imposed on our 2nd Amendment rights. With all the publicity about the health care legislation, it's all too easy for us to lose track of other important issues, so I'm posting this link where we can follow the Blair Hold Firearm Licensing and record of Sale Act. currently in sub-committee in the House of Representatives. -- S. To provide for the implementation of a system of licensing for purchasers of certain firearms and for a record of sale system for those firearms, and for other purposes.
This bill is in the first step in the legislative process. Introduced bills and resolutions first go to committees that deliberate, investigate, and revise them before they go to general debate.
